From the moment the plant was built, we have been working to put our products on the tables of as many households as possible.
How was ZILDA born?
We have been working on a genetic programme at our cattle farm for many years with Semex, the aim of which is to ensure that our dairy cattle with good immune systems have A2A2 genetics. Not only is it important to mention that the milk is A2, but that it is produced on a non-GMO feed.
So we have a value-added raw material that we can process in our plant using a unique technology. If we can turn this high quality milk into a premium quality dairy product, we can give a lot to the consumer. This is the idea behind the ZILDA dairy, the new direction of Makrom Ltd, founded in 1992.
The plant design allows us to produce products without preservatives, with a long shelf life.
Technology
The investment was carried out within a greenfield framework, which allowed us to build a completely new building hall with a floor area of 962.21 m2 and the associated infrastructure. The machinery for the technology and all the equipment in the engineering department came from Italy. The Italian nation has been making cheese for centuries, so we wanted to bring this quality and expertise to our small Hungarian plant.
The built-in Italian air technology system allows a parachute with antibacterial filter to ensure maximum microbiological cleanliness of the plant's air space. We consider this extremely important because we know that premium quality products can only be produced in a clean environment. The technological equipment for the production of dairy products contributes to ZILDA's production of fresh cheeses, kneaded cheeses, ripened cheeses, whey cheeses, flavoured and layered yoghurts, flavoured milks and frozen yoghurts.
All our products are made from A2 whole milk, without added colours or additives. For us, this is what really means premium.
Quality products
The plant has the capacity to process 20-24,000 litres of A2 milk per day. During the product development phase, we learned how to make products from A2 milk, what process times and temperatures are needed to produce cheese and yoghurt with a long shelf life and without preservatives.
We learned that the purity of our environment is reflected in the quality of our products. Our products are made from whole milk, which gives them even greater enjoyment value, because every drop of fat and protein in the milk is preserved in our cheeses and yoghurts. We also work with certified suppliers of spices and fruit preparations.

We make our products for the conscious consumer, who not only looks for dairy products made from quality ingredients, but also wants them to be non-GMO, A2 quality. Our packaging units allow consumers to consume the products at the dinner table.
Our aim is to find a market for our products so that we can reach as many homes as possible, offering a good alternative for people who like quality food and for people with lactose intolerance and milk protein allergies. We are always up to something new, innovation is a constant process in our factory. There are always new ideas that come up, ideas become plans and plans become something delicious.
